I dunno. The articles don’t mention it, but I don’t trust the media and it seems to me that the fact that she was high at the time is probably what excludes her from the good Samaritan law. I would be scared if the law covered people who’s judgment was impaired by drugs.

Fixed, and dot. There has to be some sort of limit. Stupid people motivated by good intentions are dangerous as hell.

But she wasent random, it was her “good friend”. High or not, would you let you friend sit in a car that was just crushed, assuming you felt their life was in danger staying in the vehicle?

I see what you’re saying, but my point is that there can’t be a law that makes it OK for people with impaired judgement to go trying to help people. Lets go a step further into the crazy land of a lawyer. What if someone on LSD thought someone was getting eaten by a bear and shot said bear, but they were just wearing a fur coat?

:uhh: :stuck_out_tongue:

You don’t have to help. A normal civilian can sit and watch someone burn in a car.

police and firefighters… on the other hand are obligated to help

was the car actually on fire…or was it a dumb blonde who thought bad car accidents = blow up like in the movies.
