Arrow Enterprises-Current Project Post

i tried some of the stain and coat stuff and it was a major mistake…much better results from staining and finishing separately…i just feel like i have to sand much more heavily

Too fine a sandpaper on certain species “closes” the grain and makes stain harder to penetrate and even out. Magnalac is a self sealing lacquer so the first coat gets sanded as if it were a sanding sealer. Second coat typically yields orgasmic results.

That’s it sweet thang, smile like a doughnut.

Installed the glass and the LED lighting. Used a Sylvannia LED setup with remote control allowing her to vary from about 20 different colors and lighting effects. Enjoy.

Looks awesome, great job as always.

Came in to see your updates…I think photobucket is doing something wierd at the moment. Some pics did not show up…refreshed and then different ones appeared.

Yeah, sorry about that. Thought I was simplifying my life on my photobucket account and just made it more difficult. Should be back to normal. Sorry.

:crap:

Nice work. Who cut your glass?

Hamburg Glass. Sorry to waste your time. How was I to know you could score / snap plate glass on a radius? Learn something new everyday.
:dunno:

No worries at all.

Edit: just keep in mind I can cut anything for you in any shape.

:highfive:

Look here Mr. I’m gonna jump on your post infrequently…

General / Master / Half Bath Remodel

Just completed this last week at the end of the cold snap. Customer wanted their master / general bath updated with new fixtures, cabinetry, tile, and paint. The half bath just received a coat of paint, new cabinet and countertop, and toilet. Removed original wall accessory fixtures, medicine cabinet, and old recessed cans. Patched and skim coated those area to blend.

Features:

Kohler Devonshire whirpool tub with matching Devonshire toilets and sinks.
Oil rubbed bronze finish on all faucets and accessories.
Wilsonart HD laminate countertops with beveled edges.
Comfort height (kitchen height) cabinets at both.
Existing doors and trim remained. New recessed lighting with (2) 4" halogen recessed lights over the master sink area.
New high capacity exhaust fan / light at shower. (was horribly dark)

 I have that same tub and LOVE it.

Very nice!

What is your current backlog? I have a bunch of “ideas” for my house.

Multi day project? I know you won’t say but I’d love to know the ~cost of labor/job for this.

Would like to retile the surround and replace fixtures/plumbing on my bathroom. Just wonder at what price range we’re looking at

As is usual, every project is unique. This one was almost exactly (8) days. I can certainly quote anything you’d like.

I’m fairly open right now, but I know the home show is going to change that. I have at least three baths that are waiting on decisions but they all look promising. If you have thoughts, now’s the time to act on them. Just let me know. Thanks.

Really like those fixtures with the other colors in the room. Looks really awesome all together!

As you can see in many of my posts, people are defaulting to the warm earth tones and darker colored woods. I am working with a customer right now who is leaning in the modern, white / grey look and it should be an interesting one. We would be combing a dressing room and general / master bath in a condominium. The shower looks like it’s also going to be very custom with an open feeling with glass. I’m kind of looking forward to this since we’ve been doing some pretty mundane projects these past few months. More to come.

awesome work… i know the wife wants to get a few new windows installed at the house. When is the home and garden show??
