This won’t save Buffalo…but is a GREAT way to get tons of people out wandering around during warmer months: http://www.waterfire.org/about-waterfire/welcome
I went last Septemeber and was blown away with how many people were out. Music, food, gondola rides, bars, even retail shops were open late…such an active seen. People went just for the sole reason of being out and active. I see, and have seen, Canal Park as being able to sustain something like this on a smaller level. Just this past Saturday I took a bike ride down there and saw quite a bit going on…concert, boats, people just out relaxing…was a possitive sight. Would love to see this transitioned into a nightlife option.
Maybe have a Thursday at the Square equivalent? Wednesdays on the water? Caturdays on the Canal?

Maybe some type of fire and ice museum/science center.
The Weather Center…interesting idea. Throw a planetereum in and I could be convinced.
…or we could just build a bubble over the city, turn on the heaters, and never worry about cold weather again:)

Well, cross IKEA off the list.

Big box furniture store IKEA has just informed Two On Your Side they are not considering Buffalo as a future location.
Strike 2.
LOL at all the comments that think museums are the key to get people down there in January. Cool things don’t end in -eum! They end in MANIA, or TERIA.
It might be worth noting that this is probably just some reporter calling IKEA USA asking if they’re coming here. ECHDC probably hasn’t even made a proposal to them yet.
hahahahahahaha i love this ep. so much!
You lose, Michelangelo’s David! Who’s next?
ME!
there’s alot of good suggestions being brought up in here. I would friggen LOVE a moto-x park on the waterfront, I’d be there every damn day…I hate trekking out to batavia or arcade to ride a moto-x track for fun
