Audi TT RS thoughts?

After reading some reviews and a bit of what has been done to them in Europe, I am kind of intrigued. Anyone have some very strong reasons to buy or not buy one?

Can you share some of the info you have been reading? Also… where does this car fit in the line up?

Definately sweet but I don’t know if that would be my first choice for that kind of money. My wife’s TT was a lot of fun, it would seem the RS would just be a blast to drive though.

Sidenote: The RS5 seems kind of lame, I am surprised it got the RS badge.

i bet the TTRS is really fun. i remember recently on dubs in the buff a guy with a TTS went to some TT meet in philly and said his chipped TTS held up pretty well with a stock TTRS and that a TTRS with a tune and exhaust moved VERY well.

i also agree, i was expecting the RS5 to be a lot more badass

Pros-
look good
decent power
only way to get the awesome 5cyl turbo with 7 speed DSG in the USA
awesome interior
decently rare

Cons-
overpriced
haldex AWD - no matter how good they get it it’s still FWD with the rear kicking in
probably heavy depreciation
back seat is useless
a modded TTS will probably be just as good for a lot less money.

if you’re going to buy a new audi, get one with the new supercharged V6. It’s an awesome motor. Even better with a pulley, headers and software.

Do it!!

X…

I think the blue car makes this little thing a waste of driveway space

They sound pretty

chicks car. there are alot better options to go with as far as sports cars.

I will have to dig them up, but it seemed pretty appealing. I was in Pittsburgh area yesterday and there were some fun twisty roads. It made me wish I brought a different car and this could be a potential dd that’s a lot of fun and might be a bit more under the radar with solid performance.

Then what would you go with in that price range that is awd for year round driving and still a lot of fun?

Good feedback. Looks like a tune really wakes it up.

I’m not interested in the s4 etc. I like something a bit more interesting. Also, pretty sure they are 6 speed manual, not dsg here which is a huge plus for me. GTR was a no go for me for this reason.

I like where your head is at.

This would be more dd duty as well as a fun car for traveling etc.

Magazine racing makes is sound like a good vehicle:
