your still missing the point, im done.
How? from a dig you have to worry about traction whereas from a roll you generally don’t.
+1 wtf? :rofl
:wtf now your just confusing me first you say its easy and now your saying its not i dont get it
how am I confusing you? I’m quoting what you said and asking a question about it… WOW!
i thought you were done :lmao
now that granmassa in, im out, i dont wanna deal with him
you guys should race NEITHER way. i say we handle this like rednecks.
get a tow rope… and some sidewalk chalk and have a pull off!
thats how the diesel trucks do it. whoever’s got more torque!
or who ever’s drive train will rip out first
I know what Paul is trying to say here. It doesn’t matter through which or how many wheels your car gets the power to the ground. It takes more work/effort/skill (whatever you want to call it) to get your car moving from a dead stop then it does to just go WOT on the 3rd honk. Racing from a roll seems pretty pointless to me, it’s kind of like playing t-ball versus regular baseball. And as Paul mentioned, they dont have from a roll night at the valley. But hey, thats just my 2 cents. If racing from a roll is how you get your jollies, more power to ya.
thats why people should do a dig race first then roll race on the way back thats usually what happens though
I agree with ya…I would rather race from a dig any day then a roll…a dig race, is a REAL race IMO
i agree, even though it puts me at the disadvantage… i chose my car, so i gotta deal with it… i have no prob playing catch up in races haha… the only thing i’m honestly concerned with is i dont like being close to other vehicles when i launch… my car torque steers like a mother, so basically out of the hole i’m all over the lane spinning… i’d rather race on a 3 lane road somewhere from a dig, just so we can have some space inbetween haha
couldnt have put it in a better way :banana
:gay
…btw is that Hemi07 your buddy that goes in the black Dodge paul?
yeah. You were the one talking about the broken tranny the other night, or am I thinking of the wrong person?
That’s called newb racing. Racing from a roll does require skill: Brake boosting/PROPER shifting/GOOD R/T similiar to dig.
apparently most or all of u have not driven a high horse power rear wheel drive car weather it be stick or auto.
roll and dig r like comparing apples to oranges!!!
from a roll ur already in an optimal gear and starting to spool or in spool. so WTF fuck is so hard about that.
u take a high hp rwd car stick or auto. it takes skill to get it out of the hole. if u think other wise apparently u been hanging with forest too long
their’s a huge difference between matting it and driving it out the hole !!!
but wtf do i know!!!
ive driven 400hp awd cars, 400+rwhp fbodies, and a few higher hp FWD cars including my own, and they all require cetrain skills to drive… but in most cases the RWD cars are at an advantage, you can run huge tires, weight transfer goes right to your drive axle, where AWD has the adde weight and drag and if you cant launch youll bog it hard or slip the clutch too much, and with FWD, same thing, bog, or burn… but lets compared a BPU supra 6speed vs automatic. head to head, the automatic is going to win… so my vote goes with RWD automatic for drag racing.
