I’m 'bout to put in a drool smily just for that post.
Is it just me or I’d rather have a dream garage than a dream house?
I really like the CNC machining, water jet, electrode cutting, etc. business. I may try to get a job doing so next summer. Nice videos
Been programing and opperating on a 5 axis Water-jet for some time now, Cutting details for F-22’s ,F-4’s,Blackhawk’s,boeing ,etc…It’s cool as f@%k for the first month or so…Then it’s just a job…But carving pumpkins!!!. Thats some Awesome Shit .
Not just you :number1
CNC machines are just TITS!
Wire edm is absolutely sick but I wouldn’t have much use for it in my garage.
I can’t seem to find a decent video of it, but here are really good examples of what it can do:
but one I missed… Laser sintering rapid protoyper. I’ll have to add one of these to my list:
RP machines are quite useful in many applications. That’s one machine I’d like to own.
I’m considering buying a CNC plasma cutter. Not 100% sure on that yet. Sofar it’s still a bit cheaper to outsource that commodity.
/end thread
plasma cad table coming soon to my shop !!!
What i need is a craftsman or something 5ft high tool dresser. my shit is scattered everywhere
Morgan has a CNC plasma cutter, pretty sweet. him and his father built it.
[font=Tahoma]A hydraulic jackuses a fluid, which is incompressible, that is forced into a cylinder by a pump plunger. Oil is used since it is self lubricating and stable. When the plunger pulls back, it draws oil out of the reservoir through a suction check valve into the pump chamber. When the plunger moves forward, it pushes the oil through a discharge check valve into the cylinder. The suction valve ball is within the chamber and opens with each draw of the plunger. Yeah there are alot of nice and cost effective kits on the market. Not sure what model he purchased awhile back. I’ve always used the service from NEWJ as it was always cheaper to outsource but I’m looking into a z-axis gantry.
That thing looked awesome. I can’t believe they built it, I want one.
+1 best coment ever
I picked up a new toy for my shop:
I need a plasma cutter next. Actually i could use one now, can’t afford it though
I’m going to be doing more mill and lathe work this semester… this thread makes me want to work on CNC stuff though.
cnc machines are amazing
