Nice to get away for awhile. Late anniversary trip. Dropped the girls off at Grandma’s in DE, then went to the Poconos for 5 days. I don’t think I’ve ever been off of work for 7 days straight, and this relaxed since I don’t know when.
Played 3 rounds of golf, tennis, pool tables, row boat on the lake, basketball. Drove up to Bushkill Falls - nice walking trails, with stairs built along the hillsides.
I’m glad to hear you had fun. When we lived in Connecticut (and my parents were together) they used to go to the Poconos. They have some great memories there. I also remember going to Bushkill as a kid for a trip with my daddy. Good times.
When I was much younger my family lived in NJ, and we’d vacation there often. Very scenic area…how was the urban sprawl up there nowadays? I’m thinking it was roughly 90 or 91 last time I was there, and at the time it was pristine aside from a few larger estates being built.
You want to see the picture of me in the heart shaped tub? :naughty:
We were pretty much only on one road there, and they were all business types of buildings, not housing. Crazy traffic on the weekend at the stoplight getting onto 80. Looked like they needed to change the timing on it.
that place rules we went there on our honey moon bush kill was kind of lame but it was a nice hike on the red trail i think it was, the longest one… i am still trying to figure out how to put a 7 foot tall champagne glass hot tub in my living room
Went to the Pocono’s on my Honey moon… Left after the second day cause it was so horrible. the only cool thing was the Champagne glass hot tub that was on the second floor. It is more geared for people that are on a 20 year anniversary or something. We were one of 4 youhger couples there. Should of went to the bahamas instead but my Ex-wife didn’t want to travel too far from home. hence the ex-wife part…
