I have a weird oil leak from the front head of a 6G72 block. The front block is always lightly coated and occasionaly a spray of oil is apparent on the hood/engine after running in boost. No oil in the anti-freeze and no over heating issues. car doesnt like WOT boost anymore and runs bad, but idle and normal cruise are fine.
could the head bolts have stretched allowing a leak under boost?
i have seen head gaskets blow outwards where the oil and water don’t mix. i would say clean everything as best as you can and keep close eye on it.
can do the basics still too. compression test compression in cooling system check the plugs etc
I’ve had a 4g63 leak oil from the head gasket, so im sure its possible.
check the o ring on the oil dipstick tube, or cut a piece of hose and fit it over the dipstick and the tube. make sure that the dipstick is not raising up under boost–spraying under the hood. seen it happen before…
