i would put some work into them if you are serious about the car because that surface rust will penetrate into holes quicker than you think
meh, theres not rott which is good. Just grind down the surface rust and rust proof it, or coat it with tar spray
that looks fine enough. make sure u clean it out and re ash it or something before it spreads…
Get a screw driver and a hammer. Tap it with some force at the rust. See if the screw driver goes through.
I jabbed both sides with a phillips a couple times and it didnt go thru, thats why im kinda happy about finding this thing, its only got 196xxxkm’s on it, engine doesnt have the valve noise and apparently its got a new clutch in it. freakin sweet

looks alright… check the floor above the downpipe… the heat causes some serious rott there.
car looks good, check the sunroof, and maybe underneath the trunk, aswell by the door hinges.

Up on top of the gas tank, around the brake and fuel lines, as well as the top of the tank.
That’s where the salt and road crap ends up in RWD cars.
The front end will usually only rot from bad jacking or serious stress.
