Ok it is time to share this because I’m getting scared…
Part A
Thursday I am driving up to JapImports to see Gabe and im taking the normal backroads, Major Mac. The weather is bad, looks slippy so of course I take it easy so I’m approaching Major Mac and 27 (going east). I get into the 60 zone doing basically 60-65 so very very slowly I start applying brake. So long that in the white zone(marked on the map) I went from 65ish - 30km/h.
then I hit the red part, I enter the turn slowing down as well when my rear just slides out accidentally . Counter steer, drift and keep it going trying my best to say out of the guardrail. The slide was about 1 foot from the guardrail and lasted, according to the scale, around 100m. The speed was little if anything but around 10km/h on what seemed to be shear ice my luck was that noone was coming toward me. I still can’t believe I hit a patch of ice and without panicking managed to keep control of the car…,
Heading straight toward Highway 27 and two way traffic I decided a last attempt after the red zone there is a small downhill so basically I was still sliding. I turned the car to the side where a gravel/dirt driveways seem to provide the most grip. I stopped maybe 3 feet from the road on the dirt driveway the car sits stalled. Walk around after starting her up everything is fine but wow what a close call, my first…
Part B
Friday Major Mac yet again going to a friends house I am making a left from 27 onto Major Mac, halfway through the intersection since its green waiting for a free lane. The light turns yellow so I slowly let off the clutch and add gas but something tells me to stop. There where two people coming to the light, an 18 wheeler and a minivan(minivan being closer to me). Sure enough I am sitting in the middle of the intersection maybe 1-2 seconds into the yellow and the red than shows…the 18 wheeler FLIES through the red. RHD car, left turn, 18 wheeler hitting Right side door…dead me?
As I drove through the pure red now I kinda wonder which of the two girls to thanks, the two girls who everyone has heard of who got hit by a truck on there birthday in Caledon. Ya something told me to just stay put, maybe its the fact that they went to the same school as me(older though), maybe its because we both lived in Caledon, who knows but I couldn’t believe how close I literally was to dying at that point, again with no fault of my own at play…
Part C
This one is the Saturday during the day incident. Partying the night before had a girl over we did the nasty :C . I had to drive her home to Hamilton and on the way home, 407 with open traffic doing APPROPRIATE speeds all I hear is well, nothing my car just starts shaking madly and making loud thumping noises, pull over asap my front right tire ****ing blew.
I remember that you can control a car with a blown tire but I never expected this just cruising, hungover and tired and this happens and I just wondered with the ditches on both sides wtf could have happened. I am know riding on a donut tire until I get lugnuts/studs/spacers…
Enjoy my life stories I am worried, at 18 this is not the shit I want happening to me :{
