About four years ago the previous owner of this truck asked me if I wanted to take a few shots of it for him. It was the first time I ever shot another vehicle for someone. Back then the truck was a burnt orange metallic color and had the same wheels but with a gunmetal face. It was a learning experience and as time went on I shot more and learned more from my mistakes in both editing and shooting.
Fast forward to the present day and you can see the new owner has completely repainted the truck to his liking. It’s an odd feeling shooting this truck again, almost like seeing an old friend again for the first time in a few years.
I won’t post the entire shoot, just this one shot, as the truck won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
love the color and the wheel choice on the original. Original shaved, flush toneau cover painted to match, smoothe front bumper and body dropped to lay rocker would be perfect IMO.
TBH idk if its the paint job on the truck, but I think this is one of my favorite rig shots ive seen from you…
One thing im curious about, why do those tree branches look like their floating out of no where? Was it just the edge of the branch when you started the rig shot? I dont think ive seen anything like that in any of your other shots, just curious
I couldnt agree more.
The original had a style that wouldn’t become dated.
I hung the rig off the side of the truck so I would overhang the grass on the side of the road. There are maple trees planted along the road as you can see in the photo, the camera passed under the branches of this tree in the photo and you see the blur of branches above the camera. The next tree back I had to bend the branches down so I wouldn’t damage the camera.
