Laugh out loud at N.
I hate the:
“inb4irealizeiamgayafteritypedareallylongwordwithoutspaces”
It is so gay that NYSpeed puts in a space here…^…automatically.
“my z will be done this summer”
Well most people only say chassis codes on specific forums, or if they’re targeting a certain crowd
i wouldnt make a build thread on here saying “deebo’s ej8/em1 build!” people would have no idea what the hell i was building lol
i think the e30, e34,e92 shit is confusing for bmws, but thats probably because i’m not in that crowd
i see it alot on here.
i usually look it up if i dont know what the chassis code is already.
its really not a big deal but nyspeed brings out the pettiness in all of us for some reason.
brian
chassis codes aren’t a big deal to me.
People who are trying to be cool by altering the original name of the car, to make it sound hip/cooler/more special, are the ones that are annoying as all hell.
IMO “Rx-7” is the rightful “rex” since it makes the most phonetic sense and because the first gen came out first I think.
WRX would be wrex (“wrecks”) and CRX would be crex (“crecks”).
FB, FC, and FD are my contributions to this thread.
there is no such thing as a rex
get over it
closest there is, is the t-rex
rolling on the floor laughing my ass off… I’ve never thought of that.
im bumping this because i found another joe mendola in the buffalo area (who i have actually been confused as being a few different times) so i added him on facebook. never met him. im pretty sure he sucks.
he just posted this as a status update - “Gonna buy some parts for the tibby. Makin it sexier a bit at a time”
:picard:
EDIT: oh god. oh my god. bizzaro me sucks so bad
“My cars already modded n custom but to add to it I’m ordering a special cold air/ ram air intake, tornado air, new throttle rotar and that’s it for performance. The Interior is gonna be dressed up a bit also.”
WTF is a throttle rotar? my god…
I call my Grand Am, the Grand Clam, but thats just funny.
accord is le cackord
element is the hellement
The diesel guys are really bad with this as well… on a diesel forum my truck with a list of mods reads as follows: 96 3500 DRW, 4x4, 12V, NV4500, 4.10, P7100, 100 plate, BHAF, silencer MIA, AFC modded, SB 13" CON-OFE, 15.5*, KDP killed.
A Cummins guy knows exactly what all that means.
'Cuda
'Cuda is acceptable IMO.
MOPAR OR NOCAR!!11
making a word that’s 7 letters long only 5 letters long is annoying. Referring to a car or part by a chassis code or commonly known name is totally acceptable to me. Chances are if you don’t know what the code is, it’s about something you’re not interested or knowledgeable about.
words are shortened all the time in the “real world” and you deal with it… or hell sometimes people don’t know its a shortened word. ex. facsimile machine = fax machine.
Join the army if you want to be thrown into a world of confusion. Everything we have or do is a frigin acronym. Everyone knows what a " hum vee" is… or at least thinks they do. It’s really a HMMWV OR High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle.
'Cuda is actually a model name.
