ban on kids under 6 in restaurants

I LOVE THIS.

I hope more places get on board with this including major chains.
I HATE idiot parents who think bringing thier loud brat to dinner is logical.
Want to go out, hire a sitter, can’t afford a sitter, eat at home or get pizza.

People are trying to have a nice peaceful over priced dinner, and someones little screaming brat is ruining it for everyone. Its basic parenting 101, if the brat can’t control itself, it stays home.

whos on board with this?

Screaming kids yes, well behaved kids no.

This is the issues… parents are not parents anymore… I would NEVER get away with the shit some of these kids do in public. Kid starts to throw a fuss you get them outside and discipline them or calm them down then come back inside; don’t let them freak for 20 minutes because you don’t want your food to get cold or to go outside.

Hmmm… I probably eat out more than 95% of the population, at least 3-4 times per week. My little girl rarely makes a peep and if she does one of us exit the retaurant to keep her calm. Blanket laws like this punish those of us that are respectful and not horrible parents that have no control over their children.

Edit: and I don’t go to all low end places. Mid range or high end were are usually welcomed with an air of caution from the server but by mid dinner they are smiling/playing with the kid and commenting how well behaved she is.

If I’m going somewhere with the girlfriend or anyone else where I want it to be quiet, I don’t go to Pizza Hut. Just sayin’.

definitely highly against this

I don’t think they should ban children… He’s the owner, so he could politely ask the parent to remove the child from the restaurant.

And as the parent… If you know your child is a little prick. Don’t take them out.

Definitely makes sense for some places and as a parent I wouldn’t be upset if I saw such a rule at some of the nicer places we go.

At the same time, if parents would actually be parents it wouldn’t be an issue. My daughter is 4 and we take her with us lots of times. She behaves and knows that if she doesn’t she’ll be taken outside immediately. It’s honestly never come to that though. Unfortunately parents like my wife and I are in the minority with far more selfish people who see no problem with letting their child scream or cry for 30 minutes in a busy restaurant. When ever I see someone bring an infant into a restaurant, even if it’s someplace casual like Applebees, I curse them. You can’t control when an infant cries, so stay the fuck home and do takeout or get a babysitter until they grow up a bit.

I think they out law fat people
I think that they should snip people who make under 50k and are over 23
I think guys who take the wome out for dinner for two for 19.99 cause it is a good deal should be gutted and thier end trails should be feed to the people in Africa

I used to go out for the 2 for $20 at chili’s until they took the chips and queso out of the deal. Cock Suckers.

I’m cool with private business setting its own policy. Like Jay said, it probably makes sense for nicer adult establishments. But “major chains” are almost always family restaurants so this would be a really poor business decision, not to mention really crappy for parents who don’t let their kids scream in public.

I think they should ban fat people. I’m sick of having to squeeze past fatties to get to my table and watching you mow down plates of processed carbs, usually while preaching the dangers of saturated fat.

If you ask nice I’ll slide my chair in next time Fry. No need to be a dick about it.

lol

smack your kids. this wont happen.

Lame.

We have and will continue to bring our kids out to eat. We did so when they were infants as well.
Kids are pretty easy to tame at that age. You just need diapers and milk.

I LOVE the dirty looks we get when we go out. My kids are pretty well under control.
If they do, it’s only for a minute or so. It’s not a parents fault spoiled “grown ups” get sand in there vaginas while parents
are giving the kids a chance to settle themselves down. (Thats all they get is a minute or so. Anymore and you waited too long.)

If people give me dirty looks, I’ll just get the kids to stare at them the whole time they try to eat.

This whole debate falls under the people that suck heading. shitty parents do not know they are shitty because they too had shitty parents.

My dad used to take us to Pizza Hut all the time. I flat out refused to go if it was buffet night. A million loud/screaming kids every damn time. It’s even worse when you go to a nice place.

stop being shitbag parents and this wouldnt be a problem. we watch my 4 year old future nephew at least a weekend a month, and the kid knows how to act right. he sits, and eats his hot dog and french fries, drinks his coke, at thats that. although, there is no after dinner conversation, as soon as we’re done eating he gets super antsy, hes 4 though its to be unexpected

i used to HATE when i worked in a restaurant and people would come in and eat and have their shitty child screaming in the dining room. i mean, how is that not super embarrassing for the parent? take them outside, punish them, be a fucking parent, jesus christ

you could seriously be able to tell when they walked in the door when the kids were going to be assholes… by the look of their trashy parents

boom!

as long as its not the government doing the banning then whatever. If the owner thinks he wont take too big of a hit then fine. Its his establishment, he is suposed to be allowed to restrict whoever he wants from coming in.

+1

THIS! It’s not right to restrict by age alone. Ban the ill behaved kids AND their parents because the parents are why the kids act the way they do. Kids are a blank slate and the deepest inscriptions in the slate are from the parents.
