Also, scooped up a second BASE rig so I can get more jumps in.

Can I come and jump…

So sic, wish we could see video of this but I’m over it!

How long does it take to pack your shoot? Like I can’t see why you couldn’t just pack it right there and jump again, or is it more of a jump once jump twice GTFO type of deal?

It takes me at least an hour to pack. It’s not like skydiving where I can pack in 10 minutes. I could probably do an unpacked jump but my headin performance on those isn’t the best.

An hour… would have never guessed.

After 500 feet of climbing…

Kinda biffed the landing on a 200 foot dirty low freefall and dislocated my thumb… :frowning: Leaving for Idaho tomorrow. It’s my pilot chute hand, too… I managed to tape my thumb back in place, hoping I can make it through the weekend. Bah.

Been jumping my ass off, can’t really post any good pics or video, but here are some nondescript screen caps from a 300 foot antenna I hit this week… Outside climb, pretty sketchy. The antenna was really old and moved around a LOT

Do you ever jump with anyone? I’m assuming you don’t have many local friends that do this.

I have 2 experienced friends and 2 newb friends (a lot more noob than me).

I always have someone WITH me though.

Had to go to Norfolk this weekend for work and got in a jump down there.

Looks fun

You’d never believe how tiring it is to climb up these things. Especially when the ladder is on the outside. You tend to hang on a lot tighter. :). Even a 300 footer is exhausting. The other day I was 600 feet up one and the wind shifted and I had to climb down. That sucked.

Climbing that high and then having to climb down would be the suck.

Do you use any safety equipment while climbing up? I would think that since you have it you would use it but not sure if it would get in the way of jumping.

Nah. There are anti-fall cables that run up the ladders, but:

A) I don’t have the correct tie-in equipment
B) Climbing a ladder is the least dangerous thing I’m about to do. Haha.

On outside climbs though it’s pretty freaky to just be hanging on the outside of the structure with 500 feet of nothingness under you. Inside climbs are just as, if not more, dangerous… But they are less of a mindfuck.

YAY. Finally jumped a 400 footer (exited at 360 or so) that I have been trying to jump for a while.
