Baseball card values

I found a bunch of baseball, football and basketball cards from 89-92 today and I was wondering if someone could recommend a Web site or something where I can find out how much some of these are worth.

i have a bunch too… i wonder… I know you can prolly buy those books in hobby shops that have all the players listed. I remember looking them up with my dad as a kid when some of my cards were worth .32… LOL

try this.

i have a ton of old baseball and hockey cards i should sell them and get some money for mods for the si

i have a couple complete seasons … i know i got 89 but i cant remember the others…hmmm maybe i should see what shits worth i need money for the boat

Yeah, I don’t collect anymore and someone gave these to me a few years ago. Might as well make a few bucks. Anyone know where I can get those books around the Fox Chapel/North Hills area?

I’ll try that web site, but it says you have to pay.

I have around the same years. 87 Topps, 88 Topps, 89-92 Upper Deck.

the only thing I have that WAS worth anything was Griffey’s 89 Upper Deck. Probably worth $5 now.

i have a ton of old baseball & basketball cards…

they are only worth what someone will pay!!!

When I was a kid we used to buy the magazines from like walmart or somewhere. They are called Beckett Baseball Card Price Guide…they have all sports not just baseball.
Here is a link http://www.beckett.com/priceguides/ They’re a bit pricy online but you can prolly get a cheaper deal in store somewhere…i’d check walmart first though.

yea, you vcan get them anywhere cards are sold. If you cant find them at a regular store google a hobby shop.

cards are only worth money when they are not opened otherwise they are pretty useless unless they are 50+ years old

who knew guys on cardboard could be worth so much :kekegay:

I’ll sell all mine for $500

Totally agree. I used to be pretty into, but thats how I am with any hobby. Just ask anyone that knows me…

I had several complete season, from all makers, like from '78 to '90, with doubles of all the major star cards, and about 7-8 cases of unopened wax packs, I sold them in '93 I got a whole $600.00 for everything. It really seemed like the market dropped for a long time. Then the market became Pokemon cards. Damn the money I made on those…:bigok:

I made money on the those POGs, dumbest fuckin game ever invented

Agreed…

the complete upper deck 89 sealed set is worth some decent money… the griffey card itself is still worth a decent amount i believe because A) it was griffey’s rookie card and B) it was card #1 in the set making it the first card upperdeck made.

card values went way down because once people started collecting. cards weren’t as rare anymore because they were all in mint condition. the cards that are still worth money are 50’s and 60’s when kids didn’t have the mindset to keep them in good condition and find one as such is few and far between,

If thats the best of the bunch I’m glad I got rid of mine. I can find that set all over the net for $99.00 or less…
