Basketball Player Dies After Game Winning Shot

That is crazy.

Wow wtf

Sad…RIP

Heart problems scare the SHIT out of me.

RIP to the little guy. That’s sad.

Yeah. I can’t imagine what the school is going through and what his family is going through. Such an AWESOME accomplishment diminished by the guy who helped make it happen dying like that.

Very sad.

I hear cocaine’s real good for that!!! :facepalm

damn he was young. very sad story.

Man that is real sad. Kid must have been in decent shape to play basketball and at 16. No good

Yeah. Coach said he was the healthiest on the team because he was always in the gym, etc.

You can never be truly healthy it seems. With all the NFL players a few years ago that collapsed due to dehydration, etc. and this…even the healthiest people have their share of issues/death.

Jordan ain’t got shit on that kid

And this opens, what IMO is a very good question. Without going to extremes, should we go through life watching every little thing we eat, not drinking, not smoking, not doing anything that most would refer to as taking a risk etc, all with the hopes of tacking extra years onto our lives and bypassing certain illness and disease?

Or do we say fuck it, something is going to eventually kill me, im going to live life to the fullest and do whatever makes me happiest?

I am the type to lean towards the latter of the two.

While I’m pretty straight edge when it comes to lifestyle things such as drinking…I am DEFINITELY all for junk food. Why would I WANT to eat salads for the next 60 years just so I can live an extra 5 years? F that. Big Mac and fries please! Steakhouse XT? Yep!

As long as you lead an active lifestyle, you can usually get away with eating a bit of everything. I’m pretty active despite my back problems and all my tests (including cholesterol, etc.) come back perfect even though I eat out 5 days a week for lunch alternating between Wendys, Mr. Subb, Subway, Pizza, Five Guys, Panera, etc.

I will say that I switched from massive amounts of soda to water last year and haven’t looked back. Water is amazing. I used to hate the tastelessness of it but now I prefer it.
