I need to transfer a balance of between 2000-3000 to a new cards with at least 12 months 0% interest on transfers.
I think this card looks pretty good, i can make that transfer, with no fee, and the other specs look decent on it too… Does anyone know of any better cards?
I have my amex blue, its 3.9 for the life of the balance transfer. and 10.9 on purchases. Not exactly what you are looking for but you dont have to worry about paying it off in a year.
I have a certain loathing for credit card companies. Yet, I’d love to start up a card of my own, and reap the benefits from the other side of the coin.
Fill out the form and they will give you a couple to choose from but you arent obligated to take any of them. You might find one that you didnt know about that is exactly what you are looking for.
5% back at gas stations, supermarkets and something else, i forget
1% back on everything else
7.9% fixed rate on purchases
0% first 12 mo. on transfers
Im not sure I understand how that works… will they vary the rate from the advertised rate, if i have excellent credit? The only reason I am looking at new cards is because I have a balance on my current card that has kinda shitty interest, so I would rather have it sit on another card with 0% transfers for 12mos while I pay it off. I will still use the card beyond that… so I want to make sure I am getting the best one I can find.
I need my first credit card… anybody have any recomendations…??? i am a full time student and i work part time, i want low interest with decent limits ??
just get whatever they offer at school. that way you get a free t-shirt
i have a cashback rewards card. i’d rather get $25 off my bill every couple of months than have a tiny number of points when i’ve never had a passport and don’t want to wait to get 100,000,000 points that i’ll never even seen to get a tv.
i got a 0% APR discover card because a google search said it was 0% APR for a year when i was broke. besides that, i don’t care about interest rates, since i always pay the bills off right away. and i can always call the company of one of my cards and be like “i have $3000 i want to put on one of my credit cards… if you offer me the best rate i’ll put it on yours”
you would think i know whats out there now since credit cards are all i’ve worked with all day every day for over a year and a half, but i dont…
all i can tell you is that i did hear something about citibank releasing a new card that, as long as you make a purchase on it at least once a month, they’ll never charge interest…i dont know if that’s like a 3 or 4 year plan, or how the card always is…doesnt make sense because they would make no money off of it…or, they would make shitloads because as soon as you dont make a purchase or miss a payment, they most likely rape you…
but if it is true and available to you, it may mean you never have to pay interest again on anything as long as you make monthly payments, and use the card once a month…i was thinking about looking into it for myself, and then just using it as a gas card, paying it off once a month, just for the sake of building up credit and not having to pay an extra dime…
