if you are spending 5k you can get an sr20 swapped s13 with a decent amount of suspension / brake mods.
as long as the motor is healthy you can do 300wheel all day long. some people run 350-400 on stock everything for a decent amount of time before something lets go and even then its usually just the stock headgasket.

You can get all gaskets, headstuds, tc flush, oil change, filter, plugs/wires, coolant flush, tstat, whatever for under 500bucks probably.

The cruise control laying in the engine bay and not actually bolted on
a Waterbottle as a coolant overflow catchcan (no offense haha)

and get a 1g awd
And yea, 275/300 dsm hp is a lot slower than a 275/300 hp civic

srt4 owns all of the cars mentioned if you want performance/reliability. Just get a Mopar Stage 3 kit and be done with it (if you can find one).
I can’t believe someone suggested a 1.8t with a chip intake and exhaust. I didn’t ask for a 15sec car. That thing would have maybe 220 and that is not what I want. On the 1.8t I would go gt28 right away. I’m just looking for a solid platform to put down some good power. And what it seems is that the dsm is probably the way to go. Kinda what I figured. But why the 1g over the 2g? I’m semi interested in the miata idea what do you use for tuning ?
im still doing my homework for that. i have another month to look around. there are a few diff options though… cant wait for a 250whp miata
Just get a 240sx, swap it, and beat on it and not care since its cheap and parts are everywhere.
240’s are pretty hard to be from a value for money standpoint.
