Bicycle Service Anyone?

Hey,

Outrageous tune-up costs, and shitty service really pissing you off this season?

I’m tuning bikes again, road, mountain, bmx, hybrid… If you need anything done bike wise, PM me. Used to work for Red Door, Bicycle Company, and Buffalo Boards, doing pretty much anything and everything related to cycling.

Helped a few members out already, so PM what you need or throw it in here, I’ll get back to you. Not looking to start a business, just want to help people get on their bikes without getting raped at the shop.

I pretty much bought a good cache of tools when Red Door closed… So a whole bike tear down/build is possible, for an example of how extensive I can get.

Also quick turn around

Gus

He setup my dads bike for me at Red Door. Aside from the experience above, we used to BMX around cheektovegas a lot since about age 10. A lot of times we’d end up in the garage fixing them up after bashing them around. I’ll probably bring my moms bike over as it needs new tires and a tune up BADLY.

Buy the rubber, bring that hog over and I’ll throw them on! I’ll tune that thing like a swiss watch.

Being new to giving a shit about a bicycle with gears, what actually gets tuned up?
cables on brakes and derailers?

Speaking of being new to this type of bike, I’m looking forward to breaking a presta valve :frowning:

Would you be able to loan out tools too?

Hmmm… Probably no… Depends on the tool.

Bike gears are like tuning a guitar… Tune at the derailer, micro adjust at the shifter if needed.

I’m good with wheels too

Just got my pre-Ride for Roswell tune up…the bike is riding better than the day I got it, for a fraction of what Bert and company would be charging. Thanks again Tom!

I need a campy triple front derailer, clamp on, installed on my bike. however I currently don’t have a way to transport said bike. where are you located? could ride there/back

I’m in North Buffalo, North Park Ave. Bring some beer, we’ll throw it on.

Just wrapped up some tunes for bobbyg1243, which came out great! Thanks for the beer!

Nobody needs a triple front derailer

lol. true.

A couple years ago a friend found a crashed bike in the garbage, wanted $50 for it which I happily gave him.

Had a Campus sticker on it, took it in to make sure it wasn’t stolen.

Turns out a well-off woman (father is head neurologist in Buffalo) crashed into a parked car then threw the bike in the trash.

Had a dent in the downtube and the headset was shot. Everything went onto my bike, except the front derailer was clamp on, my frame was braze on. Had to buy a braze on tripe front to go w/the groupset

How’s that working out for ya Andre?

I am gonna have to get my bike over to you for my spring tune. Worked out great for Ride for Roswell last year

I have a cheap walmart bike. I just wanna learn how to tune these things. A 12 pack of Budweiser cool?

Also have another cheap bike that I want to restore, it’s got a broken freewheel I think.

Thanks again man! Just took them both for a ride and what a difference. Hopefully you enjoy the beer, but not too much haha BTW I’m glad you enjoyed the hockey facts on the Molson bottles lol

^haha…

Joe- what loop you doing this year?

Z PHAT Z, was nice enough to provide you with some bike porn.

I was able to rebuild a Trek OCLV 9800 that Pat bought off cragglys.

Tear down… I really didn’t take any before’s… Just because I got right into it.
