This should go in the greater than you thread…
Asphalt > Big Ben
what a tard not wearing a helmet

Like our helmet law is any better. Those stupid little skull caps the Harley guys wear are only marginally better than no helmet at all. Really, all they do is provide the first responder with a bowl to scoop your brains up in.

:word: But I don’t see to many Harley riders (my grandfather included) that wear anything else. I’ve seen a guy with horns on his skull cap a few times.

id be scared out of my mind to ride a crotch rocket to begin with, let alone ride one without a helmet…i mean, if you’re doing like 80 on the freeway, and a bug hits your face, you’re done!!!

Should have ridden the bus.

And the skull caps aren’t legal as helmets.

Oh, and the knees are supposed to be mostly superficial injuries. He better hope so anyway.

That sucks he got hurt. But it happens to people on a daily basis. I’m sure he’ll try to make a come back into the NFL. For the name he made him self and the money he’ll make.

good example for the kiddies

Yes, how dare PA tell riders what the can or can’t do?!:rolljerk: There is a thing called free choice. It was his decision not to wear a helmet, and now he probably won’t be able to play football for a long time, or perhaps ever. But making people wear a helmet when they don’t want to??? Come on now, I know you guys up in NY are smarter than that. Do you really want a state to control your every action???

If it protects my dumb bumbleF ass from smashing my face through someones windshield or scraping my face off of the pavement…then yes.

They tell you how fast you can go too…maybe we could say…common sense need not apply and let me do 55 thru a school zone at 8am

Come on now, speed laws are a completly different subject. That is for the saftey of everyone. Where as the helmet law is to protect the person. Get it?? Personal vs. Society?? That is a BIG difference. :meh:

No, I would just like to not have my insurance be as high as it is.

If I could have it my way we would all be driving around in motorized bubbles.

Not really…I am pretty sure i would be traumatized for life if big ben roflsbergers brain would up on my lap in the passenger of my grandmas car.

Now you’re going into what if’s. What if that car wasn’t there? What if he was wearing a helmet? Oh yeah, his knees whould still be f’d up. There are plenty of reasons to wear a helmet. I’m not arguing that point. My point is just you should have the right to choose. If I ever got on a bike here, I would put on a full hemet. And there are plenty of people here that do. There are those that think they are ‘skilled’ enough not to. They’re retarded. As one of the other post says we are just trying a little darwinism here.

ah good lord haven’t we heard the helmet argument before?

kickass mods dude!!!11one!

Yeah I can appreciate it, but the risk of injury to yourself does not just effect yourself…there are medics that get paid, traffic that needs to be directed, doctors that work on you, insurances that rape you. There are laws for reasons, its like the cell phone law…its gay and should be a choice but it is out there to protect you and those around you.

That’s another law we don’t have down here. Just like you CAN still smoke in bars. You see it’s a lot of little type of laws that start to inhibit your freedoms. Why not just make non-smoking bars and smoking bars?? You make the choice. That would’'ve been a lot more simple than passing that stupid law.

The law was passed primarily for 2nd hand non smokers…which included restaurant/bar workers who were being diagnosed with emphyzhema and lung cancer. Its not inhibiting freedoms if its protecting the masses…even if it is from themselves
