Then why not ban drinking again, since if you do it excessivley you damage your liver? But again there should be a choice. The person that works in a smoking bar/resturant/club knows the extent of what 2nd hand smoke does. But it would be thier choice to do so. Besides the number of waiters/ress that smoke are high. But then this is a moot point since there are different laws. Time to agree to disagree. But then again, that’s why I don’t live in NY anymore.

They actually just passed that not even 2 years ago. And if you have a classic car you aren’t required to have lap belts if it didn’t come with the car. I actually got pulled over up in NY with my 64 Nova. The statie said he pulled me over b/c I wasn’t wearing a seat belt. I told him about the law down here, he went to his car, called it in and then said he was sorry for pulling me over. But that’s besides the point. Seatbelts are now required, my guess, is b/c airbags do not work without them. So the insurance companies lobbied that one in.
