i liked the gas monkey bike the best, but it really wasnt that innovative or difficult to build.
PJDs bike is too big. looks retarded. while that header thing looks cool… it looks like the old indian inline four… they should have used one of those engines.
OCCs bike is cool but I hate the front end,and Id rather see something built by hand, not by cnc machine
JesseJames bike is pretty ugly. maybe different wheels and color scheme would help. I hate that cam/pushrod cover piece. looks like shit. He fired up the buell community when he said theres never been a successful american sportbike… then his bike looks like a custom built off a 90s tubeframe buell.
I just don’t get why a the twin have a 4-into-1 system, other than the for the sake of being different.
I understand that form follows function was never part of these bike’s design, but something just look very wrong with that bike to a point where it looks like a mistake.
I voted for GMG but missed the live show last night. Kinda hate that PJD won the thing but whatever. OCC’s bike is nice as shit, but I HATE that front end. JJ built a fucking custom Buell and nothing more.
Not fixed…but it also isn’t really a good voting method, the majority of fans vote for who they like not the bike they like the best, hence why Jr has won both times, his is a lot more popular then the others.
I voted GMG, but I thought Jesse’s bike was a close second. If Jr didnt still have so many fanbois swinging off his nuts, Gas Monkey would have taken it. Kinda glad the chopper shows are coming to an end. They (Jr and Sr) are just old now, the act is old, the bikes are meh. Love Gas Monkey’s cars, Aaron makes the show lol. Jesse is a boner, and likes to flaunt his “skills” but he does def produce some cool shit.
Yea. I really like the stuff Arron builds. It’s pretty impressive. They’re cars and bikes are much more realistic than anything OCC or PJD makes. It’s stuff anyone could make with normal shop tools and some experience.
they were going for a classic car theme. hence the grill, steering wheel looking bars, and header
they should go back to unveiling the bikes at a bike meet, and letting real motorcyclists vote, rather than wannabes that only know bikes through watching occ
i didnt watch the show because i dont watch tv. but i would pick seniors bike from the pics you posted. and i heard the frame was cnc’d from one piece. which is bad ass
Thats actually the reason I don’t like his bike (as far as it goes for a biker build off) there is no real effort for a bike shop with a ton of money and state of the art CNC machines to make a program to cut out material and bolt it together, not much craftsmanship of building a bike there, its like ordering a kit car and reading the directions on what goes where.
to a certain extent. i went to school for cnc machining and programing so i like to see things done like that. i agree if it was hand machined it would of been even better. also i understand your side. my dad would of said the same thing. if its hand made and takes skill it just feels better for some reason.
also i agree with the $$$$ they have a better chance to make something more badass
off topic:
indians like middle eastern people build harleys now and people still think they are american. most of the stuff for harley is not american anymore. since 09 or 08 india has owned alot of shares and alot of harley jobs were created overseas. meanwhile we have less jobs.
and harley still puts made in usa. harleys are made cheaper and cost more $$ nowadays.
