if anyone happens across what the conflict was about post it here. i’m not following it closely. it’s strange that this was in a nice building in an expensive part of town and everyone was in their 70’s and white / european.

It’s not for lack of trying. There are significant barriers.
The first time they opened the boarder to Canada MANY people came into the USA and have basically stayed.
I know of many good young families that have fled Canada for the US or Mexico. No one wants to be in NYS though. They’re all in FL, TX or Mexico. We’re going to go see my cousin and her family that sold off thier assets up here and went to Mexico sometime in March. They have been gone since the federal travel mandate in Nov 2021.
I have an US E1 visa and will have about 30+ for staff. Currently working with almost a dozen good techs in Canada to get them an E1 to work on moving to the US.
It’s a very difficult process to navigate, getting out of Canada and properly settled in the US. It’s taken me years to get as far as i have gotten to this point but there are years yet to go.

How’s Mexico working out for them?
So far really well. They havent seen anythjng like that. It appears to be contained to the parties in the game.
I do think you need to live far more modestly down there so as not tk attract any attention. No porsches and rollies kind of thing.
Even my other cousisnwho are more sceptical who have gone down to see them have positive things to say. I dont think it suits my day to day but theyre really liking it. They should have residency and be workjng legitimately by fall
