Ok so I just got a blackberry curve. love it. but the fucking thing will not ring only vibrate no matter what profile I have it on. Loud, Normal anything is just vibrate. and I have it all on Vib and Tone

does anyone know anything about these bad boys and can help me out?

You have to go into profile and advanced to set your ringer settings.

been there done that. still nothing. I’m thinking of doing a hard reset, but this is pissing me off.

any good apps I should be looking at as well?

Go into your media and see if any of the ringtones will play. If they don’t an OS file has been deleted and you’ll have to do a handheld wipe.

I did the hard reset (taking the battery out of it while running) and it worked. is this a common problem?

Yea with the curves it’s a common problem. Hard reset or a wipe will usually solve this.

My Apps:

  • Trapster - Tells you if you are coming up to a common radar spot or a red light camera using your GPS location
  • Flycast - free live streaming music
  • Shazam - Let the phone listen to many songs and it will tell you the artist and name
  • 123Spoof - Call someone and puts someone elses number on their cal display
  • Weather Eye - always know the weather, awesome when deciding to wash your car or not

find any business in the closes proximity to you using your GPS location, also gives you movie listings and times at the closest movie theaters

you can also go on blackberryapps and get something called buzzme. it will let your phone vibrate and ring at the sam etime.

any one have any good sites for free themes . mine blows

i found a great free ringtone site. called ventones.com its easy and free.
all i want now is for the network to be up and running again and maybe a free theme or something.
