shoulda just kept the cross plane r1. imo there is no reason to buy a brand spanking new liter bike, unless you just want to blow money. 05-07 cbr 1000’s can be found in the 4-5k range. and if it really not fast enough for you… sprocket it.

I like the new frames! There’s a big difference between the 05-07 and 08+ CBR’s

I get the liter bike love for the street. Its nice to be in top gear and have more passing power than 99% of whats on the road.
What I dont get is the desire to go 186 mph on backroads… because a 170 mph 600 isnt “fast enough”
LOL

170 is almost fast enough but yes it’s the stomp power I like about the 1000’s, after a while the 600’s really aren’t fast anymore. I find myself bored of it after a month of each riding season. Also like I said the newer CBR1000 handles SO good so I’m not sacrificing anything unlike going with an 07 and earlier CBR which handles like absolute shit compared to the 09 R6. I wouldn’t buy off the showroom floor, I’ll let some idiot do that and lose a few thousand selling it to me ![]()
