Ok, i tried to engage the 4x4 tonight. i was in 2HI and hit the 4Hi button. both lights stayed on. So im like wtf, and neither would go off. i moved forward, both went off, and its stuck in 2HI with no lights on the selector. im sick of this blazer. 2000 Chevy Blazer 4x4
motor on transfercase that shifts it into 4x4 acturater(sp)
I believe what Brian is trying to say is that the Actuator Motor on the Transfer case that forces it to go from 2 HI into 4 HI is not working right or burned up.
yea, thats what i figured. need a price on part and install.
i have done just as many 4wd modules as actuators… i have also put a number of 4wd switchs in also for 4wd concerns.
so what do you think it is?
i cant say without proper diagnosis, but if you were to through parts at it yourself. id go module… actuator, then switch.
now today the light is back on the selector, i haven’t tried using the 4wd though. i think it might have been froze up last night.
