My vote is blu-ray, for the simple fact I learned in the other thread.
1 million players in homes > 200,000 players in homes.
The PS3 will start getting some good titles soon, and that will drive up PS3 sales, further distancing blu-ray players from HD-DVD.
Both have been hacked, so that’s a draw.
MS releasing a $200 HD-DVD drive was a little late in my opinion. Had they done that 6 months BEFORE the PS3 came out I think HD-DVD would be the winner but now that Blue has an 800k lead I think it’s going to start pulling away.
Doing some reading this really stood out
Seven of the eight major Hollywood studios sell films in the Blu-ray format – five of them exclusively – and 19 of last year’s top 20 movies are available in the format, the group claimed.

Here’s some more real world experience:
Bluray- 600.00, and it comes with a free PS3
HD-DVD- 499.00, and it’s just a player.
or
Xbox360- 400.00 + HD-DVD addon 200.00 = 600.00
