Sometimes the tachometer, fuel and temp gauges doesn’t work. Also sporadically the brake lights stay on without touching the brake pedal on my 325i
What this could be? any ideas?
it might help if youre a little more specific than “325i”, E30, E36, E46???

instrument panel is dead because the SI batteries are starting to die. you have to remove the gauge cluster and replace the battery. very common E30 problem.

check those grounding metal rods in the rear tail light housings, make sure they are making good contact and that none have come out of their little grooves.
