Dont judge the safety of a car on how it will survive when the largest truck hits it. Thats why the weight of cars have double in the last 20+years.
I think I would want the skins to be removable so you can change them to differnet colors. :tong
The whole design of the Smart cars is to move the driver and/or passenger away from the impact. Find a Smart car crash test video, the cabin lifts up when hit. It hit a solid concrete barrier at 70+ mph and it appeared the driver wouldn’t have sustained dramatic injuries had they been in the car.(they used a crash dummy)

it’s the ‘ping pong ball theory’-
think about it, it doesn’t matter what the hell you hit a ping pong ball with it wont deform-just bounces away…the smart cars are built solid, with few sharp edges, so that the impact, if it happens is dispersed throughout the shell of the car, and its so light that it just bounces away with minimal intrusion…nah’ mean?

but yea the headlights are ill and i think if it was made with rubber glossy type finish it would be easy to wash and maintain or something

Cars are only measured for safety within their own class. Since the Smart is in a subcompact class, it’s not measured against crashes with pickups and delivery vehicles. A truck collision would likely reduce it, and the fool who paid that ridiculous amount of money for it, into a fine, milky paste.
