Well i went to the Keeler SMART dealership on route 7 a little while ago and test drove a Smart Passion Coupe…I must say it is one of the coolest cars. Just some of the features it has, despite it being a 3 cyl, 5 speed automatic and tops out at 90 mph, RWD, rear engine, prevents you from peeling out/doing donuts :lol and gets 45 mpg …it’s worth the 12-15k IMO. Me and my dad are considering preordering one for the each of us :lol
I also found it cool how, you don’t have to paint it if you want to change the color of it…you just tell SMART and they order you new panels (the panels are plastic and powdercoated) and remove the old ones and replace them with the new ones for about $600. The turning radius is rediculous… you can almost take a 90 degree turn :banana
They are actually extremely safe…air bags front, rear and side…and when you get the engine and front compartment drop below and push the cabin up moving the driver away from the impact, the cabin is a steel cage and is made to act like a roll cage…
Neither do half the people on this sites cars, besides if a 5k lbs. SUV is going to hit me, I’d rather die then eat the rest of my meals through a tube.

its good to know you went and drove one im plannin on doin the same soon to get my opinion out there
but it has yet to see a test against a Semi since they dont really have them in europe
but besides big vehicles like SUV’s and semi’s they are pretty safe but not the safest(VOLVO) or (a very close) 2nd safest car on the road(SAAB) lol

but you have to remember smart is a DB(Daimler-Benz[no longer Daimler-Chrysler]) owned company but also owned by Penske.

sedans in general are safer. people that think suv’s are safer because they are larger are just wrong. statistically its a proven fact people driving sedans are less likely to die than people driving suv’s. they might pass better impact test but in real world situations the sedans can out maneuver the suv’s and have a lower cog resulting in less tipping and so forth.
Well Volvo sells themselves as being the safest car’s on the road today which they are
and what them and SAAB put their car’s up against is amazing compared with other manufactures esp american companies
for instance since about 1994 or when the new body style and (gm bought about half of saab stake in 1990 out then in 2000 the other half) they put saab up against the normal crash tests and also a METAL, MECHANICAL MOOSE since those types of collisions are just as normal as front-end or rear end collisions in sweden.

Only for not knowing how to drive, first his launch was terrible. Secondly a Ferrari is not a quarter mile car, its not why people buy them, that said a F430 with launch control should be able to run a high 11 second quarter mile all day long. So the mighty diablo, while cool, just got lucky this time.
what are you guys talknig ide like to see how it fairs against an suv…it ran into an unmoving cement pilon at 70. Anything headon with an suv at high speeds is death for any car.
