So hot, it’s basically like being able to mod with OEM parts, and REALLY, REALLY SEXY FUCKING PARTS at that.
Kinda like a BMW version of STI/Mugen…

All dinan performance parts are covered under bmw warranty… there a little more expensive but no one else can offer you that level of security without sacrificing performance to other after market companies
Pretty clever on BMWs behalf, I think they realize they have reintroduced an old BMW buyer back to the name plate with the 1 series. The car offers a lot of the same ideas that made BMW famous, and at this price its “affordable” to most. The manufacturer has the benefit of knowing the ins and outs of the car, a head start that will take aftermarket companies a while to catch up. Not to mention BMW clearly can afford more R&D then any aftermarket tuning company, it really gives them the edge. If BMW offers these parts as options when the car is purchased, with installation at the dealership and the cost of the parts rolled into the new car purchase it’s a brilliant business model that others should follow. Everyone makes out, and the consumer can get the mods he wants right away with minimal additional expense - that said, I think financing mods is a foolish thing to do, but I’m certain it’s more common then not.
thats hottt
Dinan parts suck ass compared to this stuff, i think the Dinan stuff is more geared towards the “I drive a BMW because it’s expensive” crowd that wants to fit in with the modding crowd.
This stuff actually looks effective/not overpriced GARBAGE
(I know Dinan stuff isn’t garbage, but compared to these offerings, IMO, it is. and Dinan pieces ARE way overpriced.)
dinan is without a doubt expensive… it is also without a doubt reliable mods, and that is why its oem backed… Also your vin gets tagged with the equipment… pretty cool to see a a modded car backed from a manufacture and worked on for free.
who else can offer an a guy who doesn’t want to get his hands dirty a supercharger for his m5 that will not void his factory warranty?
ex. in vlad terms
a fit with a k20 on the showroom floor, warrentied.
Dinan stuff isnt actually covered under BMWs own warranty but on Dinan’s. It’s pretty similar except they dont include some key important stuff, like their superchargered motors arent actually warrantied to 50k like a stock OEM motor.
yeah, dinans parts are wayyyyy over hyped and overpriced. there are a ton of better tuners out there. i’d go with uuc, or active before them to name a few.
If you can make that happen, I’ll go put my downpayment at Keeler tommorow. :lol
