So I was wondering what bodyshop in the edmonton area would you recommend on going to for repairs on your car?
Edit: PLus I was wondering if anyone has a car trailer that I can borrow… so I dont have to pay a towing fee for quotes on the repairs… Why I ask is because the majority of the eninge has been removed or is going to be removed he soon.
This car was done at Auto Dynamics. They gave me a wicked quote on rust removal and full paint job for the CRX, and good prices on repairs and maintenance too!
Autodynamics…hmmmm. I hope their reputation is less sketchy than the look of their shop. Yikes. I also get skiddish when I see cars for sale in a body shop’s lot.
Jim Young Collision (in the white pages) may be worth checking into. I don’t know what their prices are like but from the kinds of cars that are in that shop they likely do really good work. Theirs is the shop where Weber Motors takes any cars that need work, i.e., brand new Mercedes. If they can keep the owners of Mercedes, Porsches, BMW’s, Jags, etc., happy they must be doing something right. Plus, I dont think they have to bother to advertise.
I don’t imagine they are all that good with custom work however as they don’t seem to be that kind of a shop.
autodynamics is a great shop edwardo the guy that owns it is wicked to deal with and gives you fair prices ive been dealing with him since i was like 16 so ya… his body man is pretty good and has been working for him for 5 years or so
thanks for the replys guys the car trailer is accounted for but now its time to get qoutes so If anyone sees a s14 whit no front end this friday or next being towed its me so give a wave
Baseline Collision in Sher. Pk is awesome, Jim Young is where Nissan (Mills anyhow) will take vehicles, but I went to 3 body shops(Baseline, Jim Young, and Dougs Place) and Baseline was the cheapest and their work is top quality.
It is always hard to decide on price versus quality. We all know that the cheapest usually is for a reason…cough Maaco cough. It doesn’t quite work that way on the other end however. Some places charge more money becaue their work is better and others just charge more money period which sucks.
Nick, could tell us the difference in prices between these three? I am curious about the spread because they all seem to do good work.
Autodynamics is good never had them work on my car since 01 , but pretty knoweldgable + not a ripoff.
Dougs +jim young etc …is insurance claims only type of shops haha min work 1g hahah]
Jeff thats a nice 240sx in the pic what did they charge if you don’t mind asking for the job and how much work did they do?
what kit is itt?
The passenger side quarter was bashed in from behind the door all the way back. It had surface rust here and there. They removed all rust, molded a full widebody kit, and painted with pearlescent Lexus white paint, black roof. It also had some wiring issues they worked over. All in all it was about 7Gs.
Quote for removing rust and full paint on my car was only around 2Gs.
7G’S ISN’T TOO BAD I GUESS. WHAT TYPE OF KIT IS IT IAM LIKING THE SKIRTS.
funny mine is lexus white with black pearl roof also hmmm i wonder where mine was painted before i got it …
