BodyKits

im not a fan of them but recently ive been looking into them and theres only one i really like

GP Sports G four

the only other option for a body mod is 180sx type X rear valences and side skirts and a front lip.

Anyone know where to get and what material is the best? i can get a whole GP sports kit for 800 (1200 reg price) through a friend in NYC, but i’d rather spend 800 on something else. body kits i dont know much about because i always found them ricer-ish. But these two pics have been what ive been going for with my car, even the wing.

And BTW that just happens to be the GP sports kit i want.

Urethane is universally considered a better material to fiberglass, although generally more expensive.

Also consider brand names and fitment. Almost no body kit fits perfectly and it’s very frustrating.

That body kit in particular flows with the car (that car) and isn’t ridiculous. :thumb

that car looks very nice, as long as the body kit looks like it belongs there then it looks good, its the body kits that make the car look out of the ordinary that a re rice IMHO

What he said.

The body kit I got for my car was only offered in fiberglass, and I’ve got some pretty significant spider webbing at the corners. It’s pretty fragile.

The one in the pics you posted looks very nice.

I go through 3+ heavy duty ABS plastic splitters a year, I cant imagine putting anything fiberglass on the front of a car, daily driver or not. Fiberglass will explode if you hit it on something while urethane and ABS will flex and at most crack, not disintegrate.

ABS is the way to go, OEM quality, but usually quite expensive. as far as paint goes, do a proper mix with the flexing agent and it should hold up to oem standards aslong as prep work, and the painters abilities are up to par.

Nothing beats OEM panels however, in terms of quality and fitment.

Stock + Lips = the way to go 99% of the time.

i like that kit… looks clean.

GP Sports is great quality from what I’ve heard. You’re gonna need some low offset to pull it off though.

That body kit looks really sweet and I myself am not a fan of bodykits, although their is one for my 300ZX I wanna get from germany ;D

i like that one

you’re gonna need some big $$$ wheels and big $$$ power to back up that look.

im a fan of oem plus, however some cars can deff pull off a nice kit, like swifts car

uhh… big $$$ power, …no, if you dont like it find a bimmer to make you happy. its my car and i couldnt care less if i stayed the way my car is now. its about appearence not who can go into debt faster.

ouch.

Sounds like someone took something personal lol.

I agree w/ Benny. If you’re gonna have a car that looks bad ass, but would lose to a Hyundai, you might as well just take it to car shows.

ya well the girl yelling at me for something, my cat knocked over my OJ on my laptop…i was pisssed. my bad benny :hug

my car idk, ive always been visuals first kinda thing. ive got a couple ideas for a body but this will def be the one with my new color of paint :ninja .also that wing… planning on buying soon. my stock is getting old and its starting to rust
STUPID FOAM WING :headbang
