Book value on salaved titled vehicles?

Looking into buying a salvaged titled truck. Anyone know where to look for an estimated blue book value on salvaged titled vehicles? I assume to use kbb.com as a reference point.

thanks

no such thing

You can expect the value to be right around %50 of what it should be.

Unless you plan on keeping it for a long time or get a great deal on it, stay away.

half of what it should be

ex. $10,000 car salvage about $5,000

Excellent calculation

Jk jk

about 80% for newer cars.

Man LMK if you guys find any 50% off ones.I’ll give ya a finders fees

ok, thanks. Kinda figured.

my bluebook on my gp was like 5700, i sold it for 4k. it really depends why it was salvaged, if everything is prestine… etc

im really good at math haha anyway if the job is done like SUPER quality it can reach around 75% i have seen.

depends on the car too and if the person buying it knows what they are doing

Look at it yestersday. Truck has a cracked exhaust manifold. If i decide to offer anything it will be way below his asking price.

i’ve built and owned salvage cars since i’ve been driving, i’ve lost money on the car due to a salvage title.

ugh i’ve never lost money on the car due to a salvage title

I bought my 02 wrangler with 3200 miles on it for $10,900 after it was wrecked and rebuilt. If I ever sell it the salvage title is the last thing the new owner will worry about… the mountains, cars, creeks and ravines ive driven over/on/through on the other hand will…

it all depends what you want to do with the vehicle, but i dont think you’ll loose money, but you cant expect to fix it up and sell it for what a clean title would go for.

Bottom line
to buy and sell for profit=not a good idea
to buy and keep and drive the piss out of till you scrap it= hell ya
