if 800 whp is safe level on these motors, why do ppl put in stronger internals for less power?

ive seen supras with upgraded internals running less than 800 whp. didnt know why they would upgrade the rods and pistons if they are good for the power they already run. thats all. i didnt know they were built that strong. no biggie
