boost designs KA24DET turbo kit

this beats any sr swap for the price

yeah you can get an sr clip for $3500… but your not going to even get 200 at the wheels with stock sr setup

for the price you would pay to run low 13’s on an sr you can run high 12’s on a ka

Even though I am being picky on the pricing I will agree with Jesse the kit based on the dyno numbers dose rock the hell out of what you can get with a SR for the pricing.

there are probably other things you will need to purchase on top of this kit though im assuming… an ems, injectors…etc

it comes with a fuel disc, which regulates fuel, only thing you need to make is an elbow connecting the downpipe to your cat, because they designed the downpipe to mate with their own brand exhuast

besides a couple random parts here and there like any other swap you dont need anything, a fuel pump is always a safe upgrade

You’re getting the T3/T4 Hybrid for $100 included, instead of $200 as an option, which is good. Savings.

I have a feeling those numbers (the dyno chart) are factoring in an (or his) aftermarket exhaust system, which is not included in the kit, which is not good. I could be wrong though.

I don’t mind the elbow thing, i’ll be installing a flex-pipe for the sake of the mani anyways.

But what about BOV plumbing (recirc)? EGR valve & AIV, have to go or fabricate? Relocation of power steering or battery necessary? This kind of info would be a huge selling point for his kit. People that buy kits don’t want to be piece things together, and thus want reassurance. They also don’t want to be making 2:30am trips to Home Depot.

MrSkinny, you should only need to think about those things when exceeding the Stage I’s 7.5 psi boost setting.

And finally, can I get this thing to pass emissions? Assuming my car currently does, new cat/plugs etc?

hows this going to affect our gas mileage?

Hey all, long time no see… It’s Rudy, but I forgot my password so I can’t log on as that anymore…

What do you guys want to know about Customs… Just so happens that is what I do now… I would like to help make it cheeper for everyone… I can help with the importing side, I just can’t do anything illegal.
Let me know if you have any questions.

wikked, hi pat!!

guys i dont really want to offend you or turn you away, but with the quality of questions you guys are asking.
im going to have to mention you are not ready to turbo your own vehicle.

This sounds like an awsome upgrade does anyone know how much it would cost to installl. If it’s not to much im in for sure.

What all would need to be done to the engine to accomodate this turbo?

dude, all u need is money.

I will install for $500. Don’t boost and your gas milage should be the same. When your in boost watch your gas needal drop

Again, anything else needed?

It’s been answered. Just look back a page before asking the same question twice.

mr.skinny is correct

lets start a list of highly interested people

  1. Jesse
  1. Jesse
  2. Stock240 (tentative)

due to lack of interest i am going to now assume this is a no go

  1. Jesse
  2. Stock240 (tentative)
  3. Brandon (50/50)

Im rebuilding a DE first, depending on the rebuild ill decide if i will buy this complete kit, or build my own… For 3K, Im probably going to build my own kit…When the GB is going down for sure, ill let you know if im in or not for sure…

HI

If the deadline is an issue I can extend it to accomidate…

The price change also because that greddy discontniued the type s bov and is substituted with the type rs bov which is substantualy more exspensive…

I can Install the kit for $300.00CDN

I’m looking forward to making this happen…

See, now we’re talking the same language. If I can have the kit shipped to your shop and have it installed there for $300 extra, then we’re cookin’.

I am going to need some time on the funds though, like say early summer-ish or so (because I need to get my clutch, flywheel, gauges and brake upgrade).

That said, i’m looking forward to this happening too! I’ll be taking a week off work to get it installed, how long would it take to install approx? A few days to a week depending on how busy your shop is maybe?
