im in at noon want me to bring the comp?
as long as u dont drop it, bring it pussy :haha
Blow out for me always occured at WOT and it would break up throughout the powerband. What are the plugs gapped at?
it DEFF. feels like blow out…it only happens as soon as I go WOT, then it clears off and pulls hard in the higher RPMS. What I just noticed a few minutes ago that I drove all day without doing any WOT runs, and a little while ago…The first WOT run I did…it was breaking up terribly…then I tried it again and it was MUCH better, but still did it early on…almost like after my first WOT run, it cleared the plugs off a little bit…
I believe the plugs are gapped at .028…which they come set at from the factory. Tomarrow im putting in the tr6’s which are gapped at .035…i seemed to have better luck with those.
too much fuel?
dude you need a wideband.
Shuddering can be caused by a lot of things. I just never experienced partial WOT blowout. It’s either there or not.
Can you post a datalog with timing/AFR(NBO2) is fine? It would be nice if it’s in a relatively non-native format for readability (CSV would be nice).
I could post it…but you guys wont be able to read/open it without the program itself…and i dont know how to take a copy of the charts and post them from my program.
Take screen shots.
yah thats what im talking about…how do I do that??
hit the print screen button on your keyboard, then go into paint or something and hit paste
my scan…
MAF…
Timing table…
Ah… Not sure how anyone can use that data.
Basically, it would be nice to have numerical data for a full 3rd gear pull for AFR, TIMING, RPM, KNOCK (If possible), fuel trims, etc…
I’d hook up your WB02 and see what your AFR is while cruise and what it is as soon as you go WOT and the “blowout” occurs. That won’t tell the entire story but it would help give an idea. It’s possible you are dumping a ton of fuel right then for some reason. When is the last time you pressure tested your system?
alright so travis and john just left and I took them for a few runs in the car with his scanner hooked up…my issue is not motor related. fuel and everything are normal…its my tranny. Its slipping right on the downshift, and all through out the RPM’s.
nice. glad you figured it out. can you just swap in another v6 manual tranny? was that even an option fr the v6 cameo?
How did you not feel that it’s slipping throughout the RPMS? You said it just does it upon WOT and downshifting?
right away after the downshift, its slipping so bad it feels like a misfire…then around 4500rpms it pulls hard but slips again right before the shift…on his scanner, he said it was slipping all throught the RPM’s, even tho im some places it didnt feel like it lol
I cant put a stock v6 tranny back in it…I will tear it apart within a month…I nearly doubled my HP output over stock.
what about a “built” auto or manual tranny?
built auto is the way to go a built 5 speed for them as far as he can go will only support 300 hrs and 250 trq at best so a built 4l60 is his only option without a ton of money on adapters and shit…oh and this car moves from a roll travs done :haha
yup…the 5 spds 3rd gear shit the bed around 300rwhp…even the built T5’s 3rd gear shits around 370rwhp…where as a Built auto will handle a shit load more. Their really isnt a aftermarket demand for built strong T5 trannys for the F-bodys like their is for the famous 4L60E
my car moves?? BARELY! lol
Ugh. Sounds stout?
