haha…thats funny…cause I was tuning my car because I have had a misfire for over a month now…my fuel pressure is alot lower then it should be. Incase you didnt notice, did you see me keep looking to my left side seat?? I was doing a log with my laptop…You just happened to pull up next to me when i needed to do a WOT run…congrats…you beat me when i was misfiring LOL
If you were listening when I went WOT before you, did you hear my car poping and making all types of funny noises??

on a side note: my misfire is driving me nuts…does anyone here have a possible clue as to what It could be? I have had this happen before and it was one of my coil packs, and I replaced it and the misfire went away…this time, I ended up replacing all 3…didnt go away. Then put new plugs and wires on, and cleaned my MAF, still was doing it. Today I decided to do that log on route 9 (that road you saw me pulling out, i live on that road) and i noticed that when im WOT, my log scanner said my injector pulsing was dropping nearly 50% on top end and I was going lean as fuck…so right after the race, I went down to the tire warehouse and got a new fuel filter and ran some injector cleaner through my car…dont know if its fixed yet, but I deff. have a fuel issue problem…maybe its my fuel pressure regulator? Did it shit the bed?..I dont know how a FPR would act if it was going bad?
Have you tried, or brought it somewhere, to have it scanned? my dad probably wouldn’t mind looking at it for you if you didn’t mind coming to colonie one night.(idk how soon bc its supposed to be shitty for the next week or so) but he would most likely scan it with his scanner.

seems like your fpr… is it a factory one or aftermarket? do you have an inline fuel pump? maybe thats takin a shit on ya?
thats what I was doing…I connected my laptop with my car and was using my HP Tuners scan log…it tells me everything my car is possibly doing…its not throwing any codes what so ever…I just noticed, that my fuel pressure drops down at first when I go WOT then when i stay into it…I was seeing 6* on Knock retard when I was doing my log against the STI because of how lean I was going…im not sure if your dads scanner would tell me anything different that mine would…I just hope its not my intank fuel pump shitting the bed.
I have the stock FPR…alot of us turbo v6 camaro guys, bypass the whole FPR all around to keep the same fuel PSI at all rpms…cause usually the stock FPR shits the bed around 10psi since our FPR’s are vaccume regulated.
I have the stock intank fuel pump and then i have a aftermarket high pressure inline MSD fuel pump…my MSD pump is working because its loud as fuck and i can always hear it…its just too loud that if my stock intank one was shitting the bed i wouldnt be able to tell because my inline one is too loud.

sounds like the in-tank pump is crappin out on you…either way… this was still a stock turbo, bolt on STi. and on a t-72 3.8 v6 pushing 2 drive wheels, u should walk a vf-39, intake/exhaust AWD 2.5 4cyl… shit happens
yes i should…but anything happens when something isnt running right…my car feels like a complete turd right now…im actually surprised you didnt walk me faster…

im running 47lb LS1 injectors…they are MAXED. I need 65lb ones.
did john and i fail to mention the sti had a FLASHING check engine light on as we were running you? :lol
theres your problem duty cycle is to high and there fallin on there face to much to long
i was runnin 40 pounders on my heads cam stroker setup wit a 70%duty cycle and that was high ya shouldnt exceed 60 on em or lifespan is short
the injectors maxing will not cause the fpr to drop like that john. you can go to larger injectors which flow more and have stable FP. the pump appears to not be able to keep up with demand… time for a walbro 255.
my injectors themselves are NOT the reason why my car is breaking up and running like shit. These mototron injectors have been in my car for nearly a year without a hikup.
high injector duty does not hurt the injectors if its for short WOT blast’s…like 1/4 runs.
