See I wondered about that. Obviously rifle rounds go long distances and penetrate a lot. I would have figured some other type of round would have been used so that civilians wouldn’t get hit with fire coming through housing walls.

Bullets go through shit its what they do…You need to be aware of whats behind what you’re shooting act which is why cops are not supposed to just go firing off rounds
from officers i’ve known it is quite exciting to be in a situation where you get to take out your gun and unload without much consequence.
in this case i’m sure there were a dozen or more officers who had never pulled their gun before and used it as an opportunity to blow off some rounds and get an adrenaline kick. It’s also a better story to tell your buddies.
There seemed to be some argument on the scanner after this went down of who was actually in charge because local police were turning on lights and planning a raid or some crap.
FBI ended up taking control of the situation and bringing him out alive.
you guys do realize that police don’t need to VISUALLY see a weapon to shoot, right?
This guy already killed (involved) one police officer, and wounded another… if they asked to see his hands, and he reached in his jacket… that is enough for a cop to shoot him.
It takes less than a second for a bad guy to pull out a gun and shoot… so, don’t go saying they were just “blasting off rounds” at an unarmed suspect…
LZ, I’m pretty sure I remember you being prior Military. You should know more than most people how stressful active shooter situations are… can’t be monday quarterbacking these officers/agents.
It’s just odd the officers claimed they were fired upon and returned fire with no weapon in the suspects possession
The dude was laying on the floor of the boat the whole time
Shoot first ask questions later…
The potential for that guy to have life saving information about other bombers, other bombs, how, why, etc was way more valuable then shooting him him.
Oh, I mixed you up with someone else on here then… my bad…
oh, and do you know what is way more valuable than getting important information from that guy? Those FBI,ATF,BPD,MSP agents and officers going home to their wives and kids at the end of shift.
