bov

i have 2 bov on my sr the one on the hot pipe is there cause i couldnt find a pipe to come off the turbo that was long enough and the other one is a greddy and is on the cold pipe

now i am only getting 3psi from what i read on this p.os boost gauge but i can hear the air coming back from the intake mani and getting chopped by the turbo and i cant get the bov to blow off what can i do to get them to blow off or at least one of them

i think i have the same problem …i think its compression surge…my bov was a pos …getin a replacment…and make shure theres no boost leak . that mite cause it not to open …iono

K pics, and punctuation would help emenesly! First you need to disable the factory bypass valve. Just take the sense line off of it and run it to the new BOV. Second, check and make sure that there are no leaks and that all the vacuum ports are hooked up, if some are not used cap them properly with vacuum caps. Third, turn you new BOV down to the loosest setting so it vents with a slight blip of the throttle, then crank it tighter so it vents at around 1 psi. That should set everything up properly.

how much boost are you running…if your running low boost to begin with why the need of 2 bovs?..

nm.

the reason im running 2 is cause the blits one came on a flange and i needed the flange to make my hot pipe and the second one is on my cold pipe cause there is a huge pipe that comes off it and i needed something to stop air from leaking out so i put on my greddy one

were is the by pass valve located

here is a pic the blize valve is located in the bottom right corner and the greddy is top right corner
