Well yesterday i took the day off from work and decided to test drive the new WRX… i wasnt impressed at all. I was expecting it to pull harder. You could hear the turbo spoilin but i took it over to the extension and when through 1-2-3 hard and it wasnt really as quick as i thought it was going to be… but i will say that it handles like a bastard… which was the only good thing i really liked about it when i drove it…

… anyone else either have or drive one yet?.. opinions?

I would assume it would be quicker than your m3 and handle worse, so it’s surprising to hear that you didn’t like the power, but liked the handling.

actaully the M3 has more power than the stock wrx… and i have K sport coilovers and stuck bars so my car handles pretty good

and car and driver named the e36 M3 best handling car at any price… im not saying mine is the best but with the coilovers its pretty good

ya so that more of a reason why I’m surprised that you liked the handling. Your modded best handling car eva vs stock 08 wrx. It may handle good, but since you are used to being in the “best” , I would think it would suck. That speaks a lot for the wrx, IMO.

Wasn’t this “best handling” junk done over 10 years ago?

if your control arms are more then 90 degrees you are hindering handling performance… it just feels like your handling batter but reality your handling worse.

Yeah it was the best handling car at any price…in 1997.

I’ve driven plenty of new cars that handle better than the E36 M3. Drove a new Benz C350 Sport a few days ago and thats one of em. It’s still better than 90% of the cars out there but suspension technology has come a long way.

I think the Model T was the best at a lot of shit too at one time.

i saw the new hatch loking scooby today. its not bad lookin. definitely different from your usual subie, but still not bad.
