Bringing the Camaro back to life...

looking good man!

Wish I took “before” pics…great work from Bob@The Powder Works in Johnsburg, NY!

The way it ran before you may be lower 10s with the weight reduction and stand alone nitrous. This thing should boogie.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think it’ll go mid 10’s (goal is 10.60’s) without too much trouble before the end of next season.

Got the alternator back together on Saturday, and found the right length belt for it (new one due to underdrive pullies). Will start wiring up the nitrous fuel system and electric fan over the next couple days.

We’ve had to cut funding a bit due to some unexpected happenings around the house, but thankfully I’ve been able to make changes to the budget/parts list that won’t effect how the car runs.

I got a “before” look at your headers and valve covers…all I can say is WOW what an improvement! They look awesome.

Did you put a Moroso oversize alternator pulley on there Travis or did the kit come with an oversize alt. pulley?

Thanks Gary!

The car actually had a Moroso overzise on it before (I think someone gave it to my dad years ago). The one that came with the March pulley kit is actually pretty small.

powdercoating job looks amazing… I hope this car goes as good as you want it to this summer! ( and I hope you run it in late August/early September so I’ll be around to see it go :lol) Pretty sure this is along the lines of what my dad would want to build when we do a father/son project.

Thanks for the compliments.

Unfortunately the only time it would see LVD would be a track rental with many shift members there.

Started to wire up the electric fan, nitrous fuel pump today (nitrous solenoid relay was existing). In process pic, not done

Shifter 85 percent done!

glad to hear your oldman is doing better bud.

Awesome to see him in the garage man. While my dad doesnt have any serious health issues, its great to have your old man in the garage helping however they can.

I take any chance I get to do any sort of project with my dad whether it be around the house, out in the garage or helping him out over the summer rebuilding the machines in the back of the bowling alley.

Hell when he gets older I’ll be happy if he just sits in a rocking chair and bullshits with me while I’m doing something :lol
