A co-worker told me about this movie a few years ago… just got around to watching it a few weeks back and I give it
weird movie… very indy, but damn cool… but maybe thats in part because it was filmed in Buffalo. Anyway, if you havent yet seen it… go do so. I couldnt find it in a store, but I did find it thru torrents.
edit: even if you dont like the story, its cool spotting landmarks around the area… especially 24K gold and the Ford plant on rt. 5 lol
ya know… I “think” that his dad/uncle used to teach one of my art classes back in HS. I’m not sure though… I remember when I was younger, him telling us that his son/nephew has written a movie and it was going to be produced but that was a while ago lol
at any rate, I’m gonna have to check out those other flicks
There was also a movie called stiletto dance filmed here, kinda like a crooked cop movie.
If you want to see vincent gallo in something really fucked up check out freeway 2 he plays a tranvestite nun that makes kiddie porn and eats the kids that he molested, now thats fucked up. Jack bauer note, he was in freeway 1 with reese witherspoon.
Ya, his interview on Howard Stern where a guy called in from Buffalo knocking Gallo and Gallo replied “you and all the other Buffalonians can go pick up a mighty pack from mighty taco and go fuck yourself”
when they were walking on lake erie you could see the buffalo skyline in the backgrund, that and the skyway in the beginning and the statler tower lol
but I know what your saying(notice how clean it looked too lol)… shit, it looked more like nyc than buffalo… I’ve never seen a stone stoop in buffalo before lol
I’ve worked at Vincent Gallo’s mothers place. One of the nicest ladies I’ve ever met and she’s quite the Buffalo/Bills fan. She has only missed like 2 games in the last 20 years.
The original Gone in 60 Seconds was filmed here also.
The film’s director was killed also near the GM plant, I think when a telephone pole fell on him.
