Buffalo a miserable sports city with no jobs.

I think Walker said it best:

where’s the best fresh water beach you guys know of anywhere around here?

Going to the best fresh water beach is like fucking the hottest fat chick at the bar. Sure you’re getting laid, but it just doesn’t feel right.

Not everyone can live in Hawaii Paulo

i dont like salt water. it tastes like potatoes chips.

So don’t drink it.

+1 to Ft. Lauderdale.

I have nothing of value or relevance to contribute. Carry on.

meh. florida sucks

I really hope you’re not serious… I was raised by a single mother who made on average less than $8/hr back in the 80s/90s. And to this day makes less than 50k/year and she lives just fine. I don’t know you personally, but that’s a born with a silver spoon comment in my eyes. Most of the population makes less than 50k/year, considering I think the median income in buffalo is something like 38k I believe.

i dont think it’s in question whether or not you can, but whether or not you would want to and whether or not a $50k job is considered ‘good’.

I still don’t understand how anyone could not live comfortably on less than $50k. Maybe it’s because I grew up dirt poor but I now feel like I could live like a rockstar if I didn’t save all my money.

50k gross is about 30k after taxes and deductions. $2500 a month. A mortgage on even a modest place is $1000 a month, more with escrow for taxes and insurance. Then you have a car payment, insurance, gas, electric, cable, internet, cell phone, food, clothing, most likely student loans, and god forbid if you have any kids. If you’re lucky you have a few hundred left over for entertainment and savings. Sure, you can rent and have a lot more, but that depends on what type of environment you want to live in. $50k will allow you to live semi-comfortably, especially for a single person, but it’s hardly “rockstar.”

I always forget to factor in the savings of being in a relationship, it’s a lot cheaper when you split all the living expenses.
