The site layout makes me want to club babys with seals, but the content is way cool. Buffalo Central Terminal, Psych Center, a power plant in lockport, etc. The dude’s a pretty good photographer too.

agreed with that layout

NF-17DC was the command center for a NIKE Missile Base in Niagara County. NIKE bases were designed to launch surface to air missiles against both enemy missiles and enemy planes in the 1950’s. The central command center was surrounded by radar sites and missiles launch facilities, including the nearby Niagara Falls Air Force Base. The NIKE defense system quickly became obsolete by the end of the 1960’s with the introduction of ICBM’s that had multiple warheads no missile could hope to intercept. Oddly enough, NF-17DC remained in operation beyond the 1960’s and was still guarded by the Air Force well into the 1980’s. Reports from fellow explorers who infiltrated the area in the past make it clear the command center was being used for a new purpose… a secret one. Exploring NF17DC now, one gets the distinct impression that there is much more than meets the eye. Why would abandoned buildings have brand new electronic locks on them?

cool,I drove by that lkpt plant 1000’s of times and always wanted to see inside.Would like o see inside the old simmonds steel plant on Ohio st. and my ad and grandpa worked there for a long time

Wow cool pics but that layout does suck. No continuity and massively difficult to navigate.

On a side note. We get it you’re artsy! Black and white is soooo origional!

You want to take a baby and hit it with a seal? That seems horribly inconvenient.

Cool site!

I don’t know when that was written, but as of 2007 it didn’t have new locks on the doors.

I always wondered what the tan and brown building west of Shawnee Road near the big red barn was (before the hill heading north). It looks creepy in the middle of the field.

i’ve seen that before some pretty cool pics and what not, here’s another one stuff from all across the country
