You can buff them with the Mothers paste…it acts as a compund and polisher at the same time. I would expect the Powerball to work well on those wheels with that polish, I was planning on this when it comes times to clean up the wheels on my dad’s car (same as what you have posted).
sounds good, i think i will pick some of that up today seeing as i have the day off… i will take some pictures
I used zoop seal on my polished rims, works good to keep the shine. Polished rims are a PITA to maintain without it. I will second the mothers polish, I used to use it with great results.
Yeah, the Power Ball gets in the little “crevice-y” areas fairly well. I used it on my Magnum 500s with good effect - these wheels needed it VERY badly. Not perfect but lightyears ahead of where they were earlier.
Zoop seal FTW on polished alum
trueblue-- what did you use with the powerball?
i bought mothers aluminum/mag paste yesterday, but when i opened it, there was half of a tub full of the stuff, it wasnt full, and had an orange finish to the top of it… so i will bring it back when i get a shot
I’ll look, it was a Mother’s product. Really brought them back and didn’t take all that long. I used a Mini PB as well, the Mag 500 isn’t open like the TTII and the little nooks were a PITA to jam the big guy into. You probably can get away with just the fullsize jobber.

Here’s what I used, works great. (I’m no detailer though).
I like Southern Shine Metal Polish. Works great on any metal pretty much, without leaving a haze. Mirror like results. They used to have a website but a quick search resulted in this:
