Polishing Wheels

So i want to re-do my wheels on the roadster. I was thinking something chrome-y, but i dont want to spend a fortune on it. I would like to paint it something like this, but i started thinking about just polishing them.

They would look something like this when done:

So my question is, has anyone polished their aluminum wheels? Or know anyone around here that does?

I did a quick job on the wheels on the jeep, with mothers powerball and aluminum polish. They came out okay for the condition they were in, I did wet sand down some very rough spots with 2000 grit. it just takes a long time and you will be hurting after, sometimes it is just easier to pay someone else to do it. ^those wheels are in a lot better shape.

well my current wheels will just be sandblasted (they are painted now), so i will have grinding and polishing to do…

thats why i’m wondering also if there are any places around here that do it.

I have heard good things about Buffalo Refinishing.

I would lose my fucking mind trying to polish wheels like that. That paint you put up though is pretty nice.

This may help
