You guys remember the guy from Texas that blasted his Veyron into a lake? He’s bought a new one. I think that crashing one like that, kinda makes him a dick, but definitely a dorkwad. In the video it doesnt even look like he loses control or anything, just smoothly splashes it into the water. What makes him a douche, to ME, is his comment that he sent to Jalopnik. “Matt, just wanted to let you know that I have purchased this 2008 Bugatti last Friday and thought you might want to post an update on your site. Thanks” This kind of attention grabbing thing seems like hes doing it for the whole “whoo look at me, im so awesome” factor.
if i embarassed myself like THAT, especially worldwide, i’d make all efforts to dissapear from public view. buying another, okay, fine, but dont go around going “look at me, i bought another one! im-a send it to websites now so they can tell ppl i bought another one, wheeeeee! look at meeeeeee!” ya kno? i’d undeerstand if later on somebody like his neighbor or something posted it somewhere and it got out that way, but when he himself starts announcing that kinda thing, idk to me it just seems like douchebaggery.
Nope, the 241 run was done without the rev limiter, and the speed was set at 7800 in 6th gear (limited is normally 7500). Mario Andretti said it could easily pull another gear, no problem.
^along with a money pit for bugatti and further persuasion for non-car people to use top speed as the universal measurement for a car’s speed (along with 0-60 times, another useless fact). for example “that car’s fast, right? what does it go, 180mph??” :rofl
Agreed-40 to 120 is probably the most important stat to people, even if they don’t realize it. In fact, the C6Z’s 1st gear was made specifically for magazine performance.
