The white Miata is full of ebay parts and Raceland suspension. And it looks glorious. It rides bad but its slammed so oh well. It was $2500, so I wont put expensive parts on such a cheap car. I also refuse to put expensive wheels on it. Knock offs all the way, as long as you’re able to take the heat and pull it off well. I also won’t make a “Build” thread about it.
I don’t get flamed for the knockoff stuff I’ve done. (that I know off!)
Reason why I don’t get flamed…well, I am not a douchebag. (At least I don’t think I am lol) I can take criticism in stride and also am able to politely give constructive criticism. I also can speak and type properly, so it don’t come off as an ignorant, uneducated ass.
I certainly appreciate and enjoy people building their cars, but people have to be less sensitive about it.
Exactly what I was implying. Hopefully the masses understand what I was saying. lol If you build a car, at least do your best to seem like an intelligent human being so people can look past the not-top-of-the-line- parts selection and see that you’re a good dude.
Once you do get flamed, confront it politely like a man. Deflect it casually and then go on about your business. Then create a final product that makes people look past those parts. Cars have been built with knockoff and cheap parts forever. Some turn out really, really good. And some turn out very poorly.
The first time you come off as an asshole because you cant take criticism, prepare for hell.
