I think at this point, with his immigration bill getting crushed, Bush just doesn’t give a shit anymore. Pretty shady, but certainly nothing that presidents haven’t done in the past.
Anyone ever hear of this guy… I forget his name. Oh yeah, Richard Nixon. His pardon makes this look like Amherst knocking a 10 over down to parking.
This is why I hate the current political climate so much. Anything Bush does, even if it’s relatively minor like this, is huge news and people grandstand about it to no end. But when Congress can’t simply state, “If you came to this country illegally, you’re an illegal alien and our new immigration policy is to send you home” no one says a word.
It could be worse. Bush could have committed perjury himself while president; like Bill Clinton.
